When you first hear of a new slot car set coming out of
cheap knock-off of an already existing brand.  Thats not
the case with the new JJ Slots Racing Tracks. JJ or
JinJun comes with a completely new race system.

First off JJ Slots has come up with some nice additions
along with some questionable ones. But regardless,
this brand gives you a very affordable option in HO
Scale Racing

The Questionable Stuff
The first issue is power supply. JJ Slots comes with a
12v wall wart. This keeps the cars at a more realistic
speed. Which works well for younger racers. But it has
a hard time with T-jet cars and the heavily magnetized
AFX cars.  The plug on the Wall wart is a standard
2.5mm barrel plug which makes it easy to switch out
different power supplies. In fact, JWL Slot Cars has a
Wall Wart available that puts out between 18-26v. This
simple upgrade makes this track system an entirely
different animal.

The second issues is Single Lane track sets.
Yes, that's right 1 Lane. JJ Slots has a Pit Lane with
manual lane change sections the uses 1 lane track
sections. My guess is they figured they needed the 1
lane for the pit lane. Might as well offer a set using it.
I'm sure there is a market for it somewhere. It would
have been nice though if the 1 lane curve could serve
as a R3 turn, but it don't. Its a very wide sweeping turn
that doesnt' butt up to anything

The third issue is the lack track section availablity.
According to JJSlots Websight they advertise
expansion up to 8 Lanes. But at the time of this writing
its only capable of up to 4 lanes. Also the lack of
Staight track options (8" only) makes it difficult for
elaborate layouts.

The Good Stuff
The track is 1/16" wider than AFX. This may not seem
like alot, but it can be the difference in cars touching
and not touching.

The next  thing is the Pit Box.
This is a very nice accessory

In some cases its a functional
one. For the 1 lane tracks, it
                          serves as the terminal track.
The power supply and the controller
plug into it. I also comes with a speaker for "real racing
sounds". I leave it up to the individual for there opinion
on this feature.

Another thing is guardrail options. JJslots put some
thought into these. Some JJ Slots sets come with
standard type snap on guardrails.
The nice thing is that they come in red
and in white that alternate. Which
gives the track a little color. They also
use a second type guard rail that uses
hooks that attach to the track and a
long vinyl strip that inserts into the
             three prong hook.

The main advantage to this set over any others is Price
For Example and AFX Super Coupe Set averages about
$75 for 12.8 ft of racing  and a 12ft JJslots set runs
around $25 and addtional track sections only cost $.50
each.

Track sections available: 8" Straights, standard curves,
outer curve, offset straights (left and right)( great for
chicanes) 1 lane straights, 1 lane wide curves, manual
lane change sections. plus guardrails, track risers, and
pit box.

This brand is perfect of 36 X 80 door tracks or simple 4
X 8 layouts
